Description of Play

Flanker Counter Reverse

The 2-back leaves 1/2 a count early and blocks through the 3 hole. The QB fakes to the 3-back and then he continues through the 3 hole. The QB then immediatly hands it off to the flanker, who left a count early to get there on time. The flanker then runs accross the back field and then cuts up the field. Blocking is to the inside for the RG, RT and LG, and to the outside for the LT. This play is dependant on the fake to the 3-back, as "a good fake will often replace the need for a good block".

Power 33

The 2-back leaves 1/2 a count early and blocks through the 3 hole. The QB hands the ball to the 3-back who then charges through the 3 hole. The wide outs block up field and the linemen block away from the 3-hole. Slots should take a linebacker.

Wide Out/Slot Cross

In this play, both Wide Outs go 5 yards and then do a post, and the Slot Back and Tight End do 5 yard down and outs. The linemen to pass blocking and the 2 and 3-backs help out with the blocking as well. Look for the out as defensive backs may forget to switch, and leave this open. As well, there will likely be added coverage in the centre from the linebackers.

Fade/Seam Pass

In this play, both Wide Outs go 5 yards and then do a fade pattern, which is a curved fly, and the Slot Back and Tight End do straight seams. The linemen to pass blocking and the 2 and 3-backs help out with the blocking as well. Look for the fade if possible, otherwise go to the seam.
